The Elite Inspectors are upgraded versions of the I.D.P.D. Inspectors. They appear after the Campfire area on loops. They have more health and are incredibly aggressive when compared to their non-elite counterparts.

They have much stronger telekinesis than regular Inspectors, which can also push away your projectiles.

Elite Inspectors use an I.D.P.D. version of the Energy Sword. Their melee attack works just like the Assassin's slash. It deals 8 damage on hit, and the Elite Inspector will play a short animation right before swinging (red "!!!"). It can also deflect your projectiles and grenades. The reflected projectiles won't hurt your character but will hurt enemies. Reflected grenades will deal contact damage only to enemies, but the explosion can still hurt you. It is also one of the few attacks that can pierce Crystal's shield. The Elite Inspector only uses this attack when it's in melee range and won't swing at you if you're behind a wall.

Like regular Inspectors, the Elite Inspector can throw a blue I.D.P.D. grenade that will glow (in the same way their portals do before spawning) before bursting into a large blue explosion that can deal 8-16 damage. Unlike regular explosive weapons, these grenades won't damage I.D.P.D. units.
